Zip showed up on our back doorstep at the beginning of the summer of 2011. She was obviously an old and hungry kitty, who just came in and made herself at home when we opened the door, but she had a collar with a phone number. We figured out that she belonged to the neighbor 2 houses away, so we tried to take Zip home. But Zip decided she liked Claudia's old-cat retirement home, and kept coming back and refusing to leave. We have now reached a joint custody agreement with the neighbor, where they can come to visit any time they want, and Zip spends most of her time sleeping with her head on the inside water fountain!
