Bristol Grace
This sampler is in the style of the samplers stitched by the girls living in the Muller Orphan Homes in Bristol, England. It is not a reproduction of an original 1800's sampler. All the alphabets and motifs in this design were stitched in orphan needlework. This design is a tribute to the intricate and amazing original Bristol samplers.
The stitch count is 133 wide X 175 high. When stitched on 14 count Aida or 28 count even weave fabric the finished piece will fit in an 11" x 14" frame.
There are two versions of this sampler included in the chart. The blue version was stitched with Caron Wildflowers 160 Night Sky. The more traditional red version was stitched with Caron Wildflowers 250 Claret. Three skeins of Wildflowers are needed for one sampler.
