The Yellow House motto

There are many GBOH (God Bless Our Home) Victorian motto sayings, but this one will always be known as The Yellow House. The person who stitched the original design, from which this motto was adapted, added much more detail to the house and trees than the 1880's pattern called for. The bright and cherry yellow house is what makes this design a blessing to stitch for your home.

All of our mottoes are charted for stitching on perforated paper with traditional textured stitches, just as the Victorians stitched them, and for completing the design using Cross stitch only which can be worked on fabric and also paper.

The mottoes shown on our website were all stitched on our large custom cut sheets of 14 count perforated paper with traditional textured stitches. You can also stitch any of the motto designs using only Cross stitch on perforated paper or fabric.

The larger size sheets of paper that we sell were specially cut for Dutch Treat. The larger size sheets are now only available in 12" x 22" white paper.
